XNA GPA - Jamie McMahon

Jamie McMahonI am, and always will be, a writer first and a programmer second. But I do love doing both of them. I make my home in the beautiful city of Ottawa, Canada.

I spend most of time writing stories and programming tutorials. I do take time out for our two dogs Bear and Bandit, and our four cats Blue, Spooky, Curly and Patches.

When I'm not busy writing stories or programming tutorials I enjoy listening to music, reading fantasy novels and spending time with the best two friends a person could ever have.

I can ofter be found on the Internet, especially on Dream.In.Code where I'm a forum moderator and I'm known as SixOfEleven. I recommend visiting if you are ever in need of programming or web development help.

On Dream.In.Code I like to help others pick up programming. Mostly using C# or the XNA Framework, like the XNA 3.0 tutorials that I am writing here. I have an XNA development blog on Dream.In.Code called SixOfEleven's XNA Blog. Most of my posts there you will also find here.

When I come up for air to watch TV shows. I like shows like NCIS, Bones, House and CSI: Miami. NCIS is my absolute favorite and I look forward to the spin off NCIS: Los Angeles.

I am currently working on a few other programming projects. I'm working on a side scrolling game called Crystal Caverns now and again. More again than now with all of the other projects I have on the go.

I am also working on the latest game programming challenge at The Game Instititute. I will be using the same basic frame work that I've been using for this game.

I am also working on a few writing projects. I'm creating a library of short stories to post on my web site and a few articles for web content.

Good luck with your XNA game programming adventures.
